The following five tips will help you get more real estate traffic when selling your San Diego home:

Hold a weeknight open house

It is traditional to have an open house on Saturday or Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Your Realtor sends out fliers and takes an ad out in the newspaper. How about doing something different? Your La Jolla Realtor could send out invitations advertising a weeknight open house from 4 to 7 pm., offering hors d'oeuvres. 

Increase the estate real commission

Most sellers want to discover ways to lower the real estate commission, but the truth is, brokers respond better to an increase in their commission. It sets you apart. How you structure the increase is up to you. You might want to raise the entire commission or offer a bonus to the San Diego broker who brings the buyer to the table. Hold a garage sale

This is a great time to clean out, sift through, reorganize and get more exposure for your home. Be sure to advertise your garage sale in the newspaper, send fliers to neighbors and put large, colorful signs up the night before which lists the address, date and time. This is perfect for homes located in areas where the real estate association will not allow "for sale" signs to be posted in the yard.
